Beginning
A group of engineers passionate about AI and autonomous driving met in an online class at Udacity. They put their new skills to the test, teaming up for a competition to develop a software system for self-driving cars relying on data only from LiDAR sensors rather than a combination of different sensor modalities - which was unheard of at the time. The team placed 10th out of more than 2,000 teams. From that competition, Seoul Robotics was launched.
Today
Today, Seoul Robotics' autonomous driving technology is trusted by major car OEM brands such as BMW; and has numerous customers, investors, partners, and advisors. Seoul Robotics has grown into an international organization with locations in Korea, Germany, and the US. The company has clients across 4 major continents.
Future
Asia, especially Japan and South Korea, suffers from a rapidly aging population with a low birth rate. Seoul Robotics' current focus is to bring reliable and robust autonomous driving technology to logistics and industrial use cases, so that even with a diminishing workforce, societies can continue to prosper without interruption.
