Forbes: Smart Cities’ Challenge: Bridging Data, In Real Time

Seoul Robotics and the City of Chattanooga, Tennessee were featured in a Forbes article highlighting the development of smart city technology.

Far from traditional 'high-tech' cities like San Francisco and Denver, the Appalachian town of Chattanooga is seeking data-driven solutions to urban problems, the article states. The areas which smart city technology seeks to address are improving safety, energy, and mobility, states Kevin Comstock, smart city director for the City of Chattanooga.

The City of Chattanooga is using Seoul Robotics' SENSR software to interpret data from LiDAR sensors installed at intersections in it's downtown core. SENSR is used to monitor vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists, as well as to gather traffic congestion data in order to inform city policies.
